History

Mr yeung, following his stepfather who had been living in Indonesia for many years, came to Indonesia in the 1920's. At first, Mr yeung assisted his stepfather in the store, kept learning and try to adapt to the local culture. With many years' saving, Mr yeung and his wife opened the kopitiam which is commonly called coffee grocery in Southeast Africa.

One day a middle-aged man came into the kopitiam, with one antimony plate in his hands which is as wide as his body and hung on his neck by one thick rope tied to both sides of the plate. The man knocked the plate by one small hammer to make “dingding" sound and crying “TING TING JAHE, TING TING JAHE". The first distinct told Mr yeung that it was a good product so Mr yeung talked with the man about how to make candies. After many years' small candy business, Mr yeung with accumulated experience and capital decided to set up his own candy factory. Then Mr yeung purchased the most advanced manufacturing equipment at that time and awaited the equipment with full expectation. However, only a bad news came that the profiteer absconded with the money. The sudden blow didn't provoke Mr yeung's unyielding spirits and Mr yeung found a suitable time to start over.

SINA candy factory was finally built in Pasuruan, Indonesia on Jun 15th, 1935. Moral of SINA is “New Asia, New Phenomena", which means kk"River of Life" in Indonesian.

SINA candy factory was set up.

SINA kept producing during Second World War.

SINA conducted diversified operation.

SINA was reformed to concentrate on producing candies.

The first candy production line was introduced from Germany.

SINA Industry and Trade Ltd. was set up and business was expanded after reorganization.

SINA candies sales spread to a dozen of cities in Indonesia.

The year saw the 50th anniversary of SINA establishment.

Sixfifteen Import-Export Limited was established
SINA ginger candies were exported to Holland.

SINA ginger candies were exported to Australia and Middle East.

SINA ginger candies were exported to America.

SINA was awarded “International Business Award".

SINA ginger candies were exported to France, Germany and China.

PT.Sindu Amritha,was awarded “Domestic Investment Award" and “Productivity Development Award" by Indonesia government; Moreover, the president granted SINA as “ East Java Advanced Import & Export Foreign Exchange Income Unit".

PT.Sina Sixfifteen, the second factory in Indonesia, was set up.

Both factories have been approved by the international standard certifications of HACCP AND ISO22000:2005.

Our group received Halal certification for both factories
